A classic “sports jacket” in the truest sense. Our variation of the blazer is more of a jacket for all occasions whether at work in the fields (we put a game/map pocket in the rear) or serving as a more durable yet elevated dress companion throughout the day and into the evening.
Natural shoulder (no padding) with a tapered waist…you wear this garment rather than it wearing you. Lapels up or down, the collar functions to completely close with the throat tab pulled across, wool felt on the back side. Abhorring decoration, our blazer comes with working sleeve buttons to allow cuffs to be worn rolled for wider range of use.
The hand-pocket bags are cut 2” wider than the actual besom welt opening, allowing for more storage or hand warming in cooler climates. Interior seams are cotton bound for a clean finish. And the interior chest pockets are cut at a lowered angle for ease of entry, because that's how they tailored them in the 1940s and they knew what they were doing.
