Classic rugby detailing in a long sleeve, 100% lambswool sweater polo. Double washed for softness, with woven reinforced top collar and placket for added durability and shape retention.
Note the racked rib cuff. Did we have to make a racked rib cuff? Of course not. We just believe a lasting garment lives or dies in the details.
You can see it in the horizontal buttonholes on the collar. Garments, when worn, typically stretch left to right, not up and down. A horizontal buttonhole locates the stress point more responsibly. Most manufacturers cut them vertically because it’s faster and cheaper and easier. Horizontal buttonholes are specific…they have to be exactly on their marks for the shirt to fit correctly and to properly align with the corresponding button.
Finally, the stipe. It’s on there because we love the youthful yet understated expression, and because we had a sweater like this as a kid.
